Prayer Garden
It all began eight years
ago with a dream and a prayer. A group of ladies envisioned a prayer
garden that would comfort the soul and give hope to the hopeless. After
many, many various obstacles and setbacks, the group was determined to
persevere and pray God's will be done. The garden has finally become a
reality, and most importantly, "Jesus came". The
garden was made possible through individual donations and memorials from
various
church members along with members of our community. God does not
hear prayers by denominational order, but rather those that come by order
of the depth of your heart from which it is asked.
Engraved bricks are still available for purchase now and for years to come
with your choice of engraving. Many have been done with themes such as
"in memory of...", "in honor of...", or just to say "I love you...", etc. The
beautiful prayer garden is not just for members of the Springhill United
Methodist Church, but rather the entire community. We encourage each of
you to honor your loved ones with a memorial in the garden. The Church
would like to extend our invitation to everyone in the community to stop
by the garden and enjoy its beauty, and may all who enter feel God's
presence and peace. We
are very proud of our community and feel that this is a very special
addition to Springhill. May
God Bless each of you, from the Springhill United Methodist Church.
