 Springhill Lumberjack Festival

Our Lumberjack Festival   draws thousands of people to the city the second weekend of October each year.    Inspired by the area's timber-related heritage  the festival has timber sports competitions along with arts and crafts and many other events.

Our City park is transformed into a teeming potpourri of activity representative of our multi-faceted heritage.  Under the tall pines  and red oak trees, civic volunteers serve up red beans and rice, funnel cakes, grilled hamburgers, and barbeque.  Artisans of wood, leather, jewelry, and fabrics work chain saw sculptors and antique car buffs.  Dominos, woodcutting, photography, pets, and horseshoeing offer areas for competition as crowds gather, bringing lawn chairs to enjoy hours of fun.

The festival is our way of tying the past to the present in our working for tomorrow.  We cordially welcome you to come get to know us and to be a part of our vision.
