Springhill, located in
the Piney Woods of
Northwest Louisiana, has
always been tied to the
timber industry since its
first sawmill began
operation in 1896.
The festivities
begin at noon on Friday
in our
City
Park
with Live! Entertainment,
Arts & Crafts, Venders,
and Food Booths.
And, activities
conclude on Saturday
Night.
Activities include
Gospel Music on Friday
Night. (No admission fee).
Saturday starts with
our Annual Lumberjack
Festival Parade at 10
A.M. on
Main Street.
(No cost to
enter). Then head on to
Timber Sports where
competitors vie for Prize
Money in various
“Lumberjack” Games.
(A small entry fee
is required – free to
spectators)
Our Antique Car and
Motorcycle Show begin at
9:00 A.M. on Saturday and
cost is $10 per vehicle
and an Antique Tractor
Show that has no fees to
enter and all events are
free to spectators.
Our “Kids Korner” is
open on Friday and
Saturday and children
enjoy “Kids Timber
Sports, Construction
Demonstrations, Games,
and Arts & Crafts.
Mardi Gras Krewe,
Artemis/Springhill has
been sponsor for “Kids
Korner” for several years
so they add a little of
our Louisiana Heritage as
well.
Some special events
will be our “Mostly Mutts
Pet Show”.
