Springhill Art League
The Springhill Art League is a non-profit
organization. It was organized on August 6, 1968, to maintain and increase
interest in art,
to create opportunity for sharing knowledge and implement the talent and
skill of members, to provide opportunity for instruction by arranging
classes and workshops and to provide exhibits of arts and crafts.
The League ha purchased and maintains its own building. In addition to workshops and art instructions, it is open two days each week for its members to paint and exchange ideas and interests.
Among the various fund-raising activities, the League has sponsored the Northwest Louisiana Arts and Crafts Show for 24 years, the proceeds of which have been used to purchase and maintain its building, pay for instructions and speakers, etc.
The Northwest Louisiana Arts and Crafts Show and Sale is held on the Saturday following Thanksgiving each year at the Springhill Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interested exhibitors can complete the form, and return it to P O Box 493, Springhill, LA 71075.
