Welcome:
Springhill
is the
second
largest
city in
Webster
Parish.
It lies
in the
northern
most
corner,
adjacent
to the
Arkansas
state
line. We
are
located
on
Highway
371.
Interstate
20 runs
about
twenty-eight
miles to
the south
of us. We
are
approximately
sixty
miles
from
Texarkana,
Arkansas
and
Interstate
30,
Interstate
69 will
be
constructed
between
Springhill
and
Interstate
20. If
you would
like to
see
exactly
where we
are
located,
click

MapQuest
link.
The town
was
established
in 1896,
and grew
up around
the Piney
Wood
Lumber
Company
which
harvested
timber
from the
lush pine
forests
in the
area. The
vast
number of
trees has
always
benefited
the town
and its
citizens.
Springhill
is a
great
place to
live and
raise a
family.
We are a
family
oriented
community
located
near
several
large
cities.
Our logo
is our
motto,
Springhill
is
Special.
All of
our
citizens
believe
this, and
this has
made
Springhill
able to
survive
loosing
some of
largest
employers.
Springhill's
historic
downtown
district
has been
greatly
enhanced
by our
Main
Street
program.
Jan
Willis-Corrales,
manager
of the
main
street
program
has
worked
closely
with city
officials
to help
restore
and
revitalize
the area
The Frank
Anthony
Park has
also
played a
large
role in
helping
revitalize
the city.
The
spacious
Community
Activities
Center
and RV
Park
which
houses
the
Piney
Woods
Palace,
is
located
in the
park. It
is a
multi-purpose
facility
which
can be
used by
individuals,
schools,
churches
and
businesses.
We hope
the
information
on this
site will
be
helpful
in
learning
about our
town.
There is
also a
great
amount of
data and
statistical
information
for
Springhill
courtesy
of
City-data and
Entergy.
We posted
a page
concerning
employment
opportunities with the
city as
they
become
available
and also
a page
with the
requirements
of title
II of the
Disabilities
Act of
1990.
The North
Webster
Industrial
District
was
created
to
recruit
companies
that
provide
better
than
average
pay and
benefits
for the
local
area. It
would
assist
the
companies
already
here to
grow
their
businesses
and
increase
employment
for the
area.
Visit
their
website
for more
information.
The
City
of
Springhill
is
attempting
to
make
its
web
site
accessible
to
persons
with
disabilities.
